Welcome to my world of audio engineering, where passion meets precision. My name is Mario Javier Cruz, and my journey in the realm of sound began with a childhood fascination that blossomed into a lifelong career.
From Humble Beginnings to Professional Excellence
From a young age, my passion for music and sound equipment was ignited not by professional gear but by a childhood fascination. After witnessing a DJ captivating a crowd at a party my father took me to, I was determined to recreate that magic at home. With just a Panasonic receiver (Receiver A) paired with a Kenwood receiver (Receiver B), both connected to the same set of speakers, I ingeniously crafted a makeshift DJ setup as a young child without proper equipment. This innovative configuration enabled me to mix and blend songs from two separate cassette tapes, mastering the art by adjusting the volume and sound using the knobs on each receiver. Recognizing my budding interest, my father bought me my first mixer, an Audio-Technica AM200 Stereo Mixer. Later, I furthered my journey with a Gemini mixer, specifically the model PDM-7024, and a pair of Technics SL-1200MK3 turntables. This early experimentation set the stage for my enduring love for audio engineering.
Embracing Education and Growth
While my early experiences laid the foundation, formal education at Union County College and SAE Institute elevated my expertise. At Union County College, I honed my skills in audio production, learning the ropes of industry-standard tools like Pro Tools and Adobe Premiere Pro. Later, at SAE Institute, I delved deeper into the business aspects of music, mastering the nuances of licensing and syncing.

With a state-of-the-art studio equipped with Yamaha HS8s, Apollo Twin 2 Quad, and a suite of top-tier plugins, I ensure that every project meets professional standards. My meticulous approach involves double-checking every detail, comparing my work to industry benchmarks to guarantee optimal sound quality.
